ENERCRAFT has been honoured to fully support this amazing project in El Calafate, Argentina. See you next time!
ENERCRAFT is pleased to announce that it has been selected to support the PERLAN PROJECT for its next flight, to be performed in El Calafate, Argentina.
The mission for the PERLAN aircraft is flying to 90,000 feet at the edge of space to explore the science of giant mountain waves that help create the ozone hole and change global climate models. This requires the engineering of a spacecraft with glider wings that can fly in less than 3% of normal air density and at temperatures of minus 70 degrees C, conditions approximating the surface of Mars. These missions will provide education and inspiration for young people seeking careers of exploration and adventure in engineering and science.
ENERCRAFT will actively support the next milestone for the project, by providing an innovative Ultra-Starter 28V 40Ah unit, to assist the PERLAN Team on the ground operations of the unique Egrett Grob 520 aircraft, which will tow the PERLAN glider to fulfil its next mission.
